    Doyle Svenby

    Doyle is a self-taught sculptor who finds beauty in the overlooked and discarded, transforming salvaged industrial materials into thought-provoking works of art. Captivated by steel, he repurposes scrapyard finds into sculptures that celebrate the potential within what others deem waste. His work has been featured in galleries nationwide and collected privately, each piece reflecting his passion for craftsmanship and reinvention. Several of Doyle’s sculptures can be found on our property, including the rebar cattails by the Garden Center and a railroad spike sculpture outside our Coffee Shop, showcasing his ability to give new life to forgotten materials.

    Shannon Mello

    Shannon Mello’s paintings explore the interplay between natural elements and human-made materials, using raw materials like charcoal, rust, gold leaf, and pigments. Inspired by her childhood spent exploring Michigan’s woods and waterways and now living in Colorado, her work reflects expansive skies and dappled water. Passionate about nature’s decomposition and its contrast with human influence, Shannon now paints full-time in Colorado Springs and exhibits regularly in the region. Her stunning artwork is also on display in our main building, showcasing her unique perspective on earth’s elements.

    Jenna Jennings

    Jenna Jennings is a multi-talented artist and event planner with a passion for creativity and connection. After years in corporate event planning and photography, she turned her side business, Saturday Side Hustle, into a full-time career in 2020. Through Jenna Jennings Photography and Events, she captures authentic moments and helps clients bring their visions to life. In addition to photography and planning, Jenna creates tiny paintings and handmade crafts, bringing fun and creativity to workshops and local markets. Her work, including her signature tiny paintings, can be found in our gift shop!

    Shanah Leaf

    Shanah Leaf is a local mural artist and art educator who has called Colorado Springs home for the past 25 years. A UCCS fine arts graduate, she discovered her passion for public art during college and has been transforming community spaces in Colorado Springs and Denver since 2018—most notably at Hillside Gardens, where her vibrant murals enliven the Hillside Coffee Shop, Cactus Jack's Stage, and the Floral Turtle. Dedicated to making art accessible, Shanah mentors young artists and uses her large-scale murals to spark conversation and celebrate the transformative power of creative expression.

    Dave Chadwell

    Dave Chadwell is a Colorado-based sculptor and founder of Tao of Metal, whose work transforms salvaged industrial materials into unique, functional art. Inspired by quiet moments by creeks and a belief that nothing is set, he creates pieces that blend creativity with everyday utility. His innovative work, including the striking front gate and the captivating spider sculpture by the Cactus Garden at our property, reflects his passion for reimagining the ordinary. Dave’s custom creations continue to inspire and add a distinct artistic touch to the local landscape.
